If you are looking for a way to build an online business and make money online, maybe you have heard of Wealthy Affiliate.

But is Wealthy Affiliate legit or a scam program to stay away from?

I have been a member of the platform for several years and have tested it thoroughly, and I have used all the tools and most of the training within the platform.

In this Wealthy Affiliate review, I will give you all the details – both the pros and cons of the platform.

What is Wealthy Affiliate?

In short, Wealthy Affiliate is an online learning platform where you can learn how to build and grow an online business and income.

It was started in 2005, so it has been around for a while. The founders, Kyle and Carson, are themselves successful internet marketers, and they started Wealthy Affiliate to help others succeed online as well.

And let me just reveal right away that it has developed a lot over the years. I have been a member for around 8 years at the time of writing this review, and I have seen a lot of changes (more about my personal experiences and results later).

This review will focus on what it offers here in 2024 and what you can expect if you join today.

The overall idea is that it is a platform that gives you all the tools and training to turn your passion into a successful online business and income faster than it has ever been possible before.

But to truly understand whether this is for you or not, we need to go into more detail about what it offers, so let’s go over all this below so you can find out if this is something you should sign up for or stay away from.

Wealthy Affiliate training:

Within Wealthy Affiliate, you have access to a lot of training in three main categories, which I will briefly go over below, so you know what to expect.

Core Training:

This foundational training includes step-by-step guidance for setting up your online business hub.

It covers essential aspects like branding, logo creation, initial website content, and search engine optimization.

The core training is designed for beginners, and you will learn through a mix of videos and written resources, so it is easy to follow along even for complete beginners.

All these classes are frequently updated, so you are sure what you will learn will still be relevant even in a world where so much happens when it comes to technology.

The core training is what I started with when I initially started my online business, and it helped me create a solid foundation and understanding that has helped me create a great online business (more about my results later).

It gives you a solid foundation and teaches you everything in a very straightforward way compared to most other online training platforms I have tested (and I have tested many over the years).

Therefore, if you decide to join after reading this review, make sure to go through all the core training step-by-step and do the tasks you are asked to do.

And once you have completed this training, there will be plenty more training to take you further, which we will go over next.

Classes:

In addition to the core training, you will also find weekly live classes inside Wealthy Affiliate. But they will be recorded, and you will get access to all the recordings, so you can watch them even if you cannot attend live (personally, it rarely fits me to watch live because of the time zone I am in).

The classes are about various relevant topics, such as YouTube, AI, Pay-per-click marketing, social media marketing, and more. They are taught by experienced members and experts.

If you decide to join, I strongly recommend you focus on the core training first, as it can be confusing to jump straight to the live classes. So, build the foundation first, and then these classes can be a great way to keep moving forward and take your business and income to the next level.

Other Training:

You can also find other small trainings inside Wealthy Affiliate. This can come from other members who share their experiences in blogs or experts who share small tips and tricks in vlogs.

I also sometimes share my experiences and tips there, as it is a great way to help others get some of the results and freedom I have achieved by creating an online business, and I love helping others achieve the same, and I know many other experienced members feel the same.

Tools included in your membership

What sets Wealthy Affiliate apart from other online money-making platforms is its all-in-one approach. As a member, you not only gain access to training but also a set of powerful tools that can help you build your online business without the need for additional investments.

I have tested many different trainings and platforms online, and this is the only place I have seen this. But let’s go over a bit more about what tools you get access to, what they can do for you, and if they are even worth using.

Business Hub:

The hub is one of the newest innovations within Wealthy Affiliate, and this is an area where you can run your whole business from.

When you first join, you will be taken through how to create this, and it is very easy to do.

Creating your hub is a breeze, and it offers tools like a niche finder, website creation, and content ideas. In my opinion, this hub simplifies the startup process and provides an impressive overview of your business. Tasks that used to take days can now be accomplished in less than 15-30 minutes.

This is one of the things I love about Wealthy Affiliate – it is a very innovative platform that keeps making it easier and easier for its members to build a business, and it makes it possible for anyone.

Hosting:

If you want to build a successful online business and get the most out of it, you need to have a website. And that requires you to have the website hosted somewhere.

A unique thing about Wealthy Affiliate is that you also get hosting included in your membership.

You get access to quality hosting and all the support you need there as well.

This eliminates the hassle of purchasing a domain elsewhere and setting it up separately.

Any other online affiliate platform I have seen and tested online will instead just send you to a hosting company where you have to spend more money, so I think it is really great that it is just a part of the package at Wealthy Affiliate.

Content creation tool (including AI writing tool):

Creating engaging content can be challenging, especially for beginners.

Wealthy Affiliate has always had great training that teaches you how to do this, and this is also where I started and where I learned how to create content that generates attention and traffic (and thereby income).

They have just recently taken it to a whole new level by launching an update of their content creation tool.

It now includes an AI article designer. It’s not your typical AI tool that produces generic and poor content; it generates content ideas, creates draft outlines, and even great drafts for entire articles within minutes.

There are, of course, many tools like that online, but Wealthy Affiliate has put a lot of thought and energy into creating a tool that actually gives great output compared to other tools I have tested (and I have tested a lot).

You will also learn how to then adjust the content and make it your own, so to speak.

It is super effective and crazy to think about how much time it took for me to create my first pieces of content when I first started compared to how fast it can be done now. It can now be done so much more effectively but still without compromising the quality, which is, of course, very important.

And I really like how Wealthy Affiliate is also listening to feedback from its members to keep improving both this and the other tools you get access to.

Keyword research tool:

Content ideas are crucial, and Wealthy Affiliate provides a keyword research tool to help you find them.

Coupled with the AI content tool, it will make sure you’ll never run out of content inspiration.

Get feedback on your site:

Once you start building your website, you might be insecure about how you are doing and if what you are doing is good enough.

If that is the case, you can use the website feedback to get feedback from other members.

That can be a great way to get ideas for improvements and is a very valuable tool, in my opinion, especially if you are starting from scratch and have never worked online before.

Website performance tools

As mentioned earlier in this review, you can have your website hosted inside Wealthy Affiliate.

You will then get access to their website performance tool.

The hosting on Wealthy Affiliate has a built-in spam blocker that protects your website, it has a site speed function that gives your site an advantage over competitors, and it has a free SSL certificate, which will make your website secure.

Many hosts charge a lot of money for similar services, but at Wealthy Affiliate, it is included in your membership, which makes it even better value for money.

In addition to this, the hosting provides SiteSpeed, which is a function that will speed up your WordPress website and make it faster than most other WordPress websites.

Most other affiliate marketing platforms will give you complicated training about site speed you can spend days going through, and in addition to that, you usually have to pay for expensive tools to get results.

At Wealthy Affiliate, you do not need any technical skills to speed optimize, as you can just toggle the function on, and then you will see some really high-speed test scores.

Can you get support?

When you are trying to build an online business from scratch, it is very important you know you can get support if you need it.

And luckily, you have several options for this inside Wealthy Affiliate.

As mentioned earlier, if you have any technical issues with hosting or your website, you can contact SiteSupport, and they will usually get back to you very fast. In my experience, often even within minutes.

If you have questions about content, niches, online business, in general, etc., you can ask the community. You can do this by posting a question that all other members can then reply to, or you can go to the live chat and ask there.

You also have the option to send private messages to other members.

In addition to this, one thing I really like about Wealthy Affiliate is that even the owners participate in live chat and reply to questions every single day. Even with this a big platform and this many members, they still take the time to help members personally every single say.

You potentially will also have one more way to get help – you have the chance to get me as your personal premium coach, which means you would get direct access to me, ask me questions, and get tips and tricks from me based on many years of onlien experience.

But I will explain more about this a bit later.

Wealthy Affiliate pricing and costs

So how much does it then cost to join Wealthy Affiliate and get access to all this?

You have several options, as you can see in the image below.

One unique thing Wealthy Affiliate offers is a free starter membership. This means you can join completely for free and test out the training and some of the tools before deciding if this is for you.

As mentioned earlier, I have tested many different ways to earn online and have joined many training programs, and I have never seen any other platform allowing you to actually test it before you have to pay.

However, I also just want to make it clear right away that the free membership is meant as a test to see if it is for you. If you want results and want to build a great online income, you would have to get a paid membership at some point to take your business live and start growing and earning.

You have a couple of options for this. You can become a Premium member or Premium Plus+ member.

Both options can be great and will give you access to enough training and tools to create a full-time online income.

Premium Plus+ just gives access to hosting more websites, more word credits you can use to create AI-assisted content, more training, and a few more advantages.

The Premium membership is $49 per month, and Premium Plus+ is $99 per month. Considering you get everything you need to create an online business, this is very good value for your money compared to any other options I have tested.

However, you can get a huge discount if you go yearly. Premium is only $499 per year, and Premium Plus+ is $697 per year if you pay for a full year.

This means that you can save $91 per year if you get Premium and $491 per year if you get a yearly Premium Plus+.

So, if you decide to get a paid membership after having checked out the free membership, I strongly encourage you to consider going yearly, as it can save you a lot of money, and it will also give you enough time to build your business without having to think about having to pay for a membership every month.

No matter which option you choose, this is a very good price for being able to get access to this much new knowledge and to be able to build your own online business.

In comparison, I can tell you that most other courses I have tested will cost significantly more and will require you to spend hundreds of dollars monthly extra on all kinds of tools you need to build your business. All this is included within Wealthy Affiliate, so you do not need to invest in anything further to build your business.

Who is Wealthy Affiliate for / not for?

I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate myself since 2016, and I love being a member. But I also honestly want to say that it is not for everyone.

From being a member myself and interacting with many other members, I have been able to figure out who, in general, will benefit a lot from joining and who it will not be useful for. In short, it can be broken down to:

You will benefit from Wealthy Affiliate:

• if you want to learn about online marketing in general
• if you want to learn how to make money online from scratch
• if you are willing to learn and take action on what you learn
• if you are willing to make an effort and commit time
• if you have at least a small budget to invest in a premium membership

You should not join:

• if you expect to become rich overnight
• if you expect to become rich with no effort
• if you are not willing to work hard and learn
• if you do not have a budget to invest in the premium membership, as you will need it to take your business live and start earning.

It might sound a little obvious, but I have seen many times how people join with the hopes that they can make a living online after just a few weeks and with very little effort.

I know many sites online promise you can become rich overnight, but I really like that the owners of Wealthy Affiliate never promise this.

In most cases, that will just not happen. You have to make an effort, learn, and take action on what you learn.

If you are willing to do that, I am sure you will be extremely happy with joining – I know I have been.

Can you really make money on Wealthy Affiliate?

Let me just make it clear right away that yes, you can make money with Wealthy Affiliate. It is what has helped me create a multiple 6-figure online income, but more about my results below.

So it definitely is possible to make money with Wealthy Affiliate, and you can do it no matter your background and experience.
